Exhausting Saturday With New Friends and Old

Met with Naomi, who is silly gorgeous and her beautiful children and niece.  Rabbit played with them while we visited, between pushing kids on swings and running intervention for Naomi’s son, who seemed hell-bent on injuring himself at five minute intervals.

Rabbit and I then went to a nearby hotel where my friend M is staying with her two children, in town from St. Louis for a family wedding.  We visited after a screaming hug in the hotel hallway, as M and I hadn’t seen one another in six years and she had never met Rabbit.  We watched while the girls swam in the pool, and it was a quick visit since M and her two daughters will be stopping here for dinner on their way home tomorrow night.

Rabbit and I went shopping at Aldi and got a few provisions.  We drove home, where PC was in the middle of a serious cleaning of the basement.  I pitched in, and we cleared out a whole space for all of Rabbit’s art supplies, papers, barbies, dollhouse stuff, dolls, toy kitchen, etc.  Tomorrow, her room gets overhauled and rearranged.

PC’s dad arrives tomorrow.  I will be at a youth training all afternoon.

Right now I’m so exhausted I’m incoherent.  I will try to post photos tomorrow.

  1. So fun to meet you!! Rabbit is darling and YOU are just what I imagined … perfectly sweet, sassy and charmingly normal all rolled into one!

Tony’s drama continued the rest of the afternoon, seriously!! He is outfitted with more bandaids than you can imagine!

Glad the rest of your day was great, albeit exhausting! I’ll email you some of the photos in a bit!
