I sold another house today. Very nice couple, very cute house and I think, a very good deal.
I came home and made homemade chicken and egg-drop soup. The egg-drops I make are from egg-noodle dough, but instead of messing with rolling it out and cutting it into noodles, I spoon a little onto the end of a teaspoon, then take another spoon and scrape it off where it plops into the bubbling soup and makes little oblong, firm dumplings. I cooked the chicken into stock the other day, with home grown thyme and lots of onion, carrots and celery. It was lovely soup, let me tell you.
Tonight I am paying bills and filing statements and receipts from the month of June so my office bins will be cleared out.
Hazel needs her immunization updated.
Rabbit is in the shower.
PC is watching TV after washing the supper dishes.
===========================
Funny of the day: a friend at the office found a small tube of Bliss Lemon Sage Body Butter in her purse and had to show me the directions on the tube, which were as follows:
After showering, massage a generous amount of lemon+sage body butter into any skin that an optically-challenged individual might mistake for the bark on the trunk of an ancient redwood tree.
Once upon a time, I remember you describing your “trunks” as “toothpicks wrapped in tissue paper”. Maybe my male brain isn’t wired to understand the metaphor or maybe I’ve never felt that “optically-challenged”??
Hey, you, get offa my redwood bark skin!
I think I need some egg drop soup now.
Wish you could sell our house back at home … I think you’d be the perfect fit, what with your redwood bark skin. We’ve have had NO showings in almost a month’s time … :(
That soup sounds wonderful. You need to write a cookbook. And I need to get some of that body butter
I’ll take some of that soup right now!
