Rabbit didn’t eat breakfast, and then noshed on crackers and Boursin cheese before our guests arrived.
When dinner was ready, we filled a plate for her. Of course, she simply drank soda and didn’t touch a bite on her plate.
Tonight, she was sitting at the table eating an orange, some bread, some crackers and cheese and drinking juice.
“Why didn’t you eat your dinner today Bunny?” I asked her.
“I’ll tell you why, Mommy, can I tell you why?”
“Sure.”
She looked at me earnestly: “I’m not really a fan of meat. Or turkey. Just if it’s fried like fried chicken.”
I’m not really a fan? I had to turn around so she wouldn’t see me laughing. It was just that cute.
Dinner turned out nicely. We have enough leftovers for four or five meals. PC watched the Dallas game, we visited with our great friends who came with their children, and I talked to several of my siblings, my dad and my mom throughout the day. It was nice to talk with them and hear what they were fixing, doing, thinking.
After washing mountains of dishes, cooking WAY more food than should be produced for one meal, and eating til I couldn’t breathe, I deem this a very nice Thanksgiving.
Here’s hoping you and yours had an enjoyable holiday!!
I am a fan of the side dishes myself.
Just had a nice plate of leftover cornbread dressing, carrots, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce – yum yum!
Love Thanksgiving but not really a fan of stuffing myself to the point of my tummy hurting. So…. I pushed away from the table early to leave room for pie.
Plenty of leftovers at our house if anyone is interested????

So glad you had a good Thanksgiving Day, Mary. We had a wonderful day. Weather was perfect, food came out just the way we like, and we were surrounded by loving family. Just right.
I actually spent the day by myself…as in alone. My choice and it wasn’t all bad. Fridge is full of left overs but now….the day after, I think everyone is expecting me to fix a big meal for them. Heh. They are plum out of luck.
So glad you had a good day! My girls say “I’m not a big fan of . . . ” fairly often, and it cracks me up every time. Nothing like big words and phrases coming earnestly from little faces!!
