Here’s what I did today:
Got up early-ish and made Rabbit breakfast of a toad in the hole (grilled bread with a hole cut in the middle, into which you crack an egg to fry), and she had coffee milk while I drank coffee and had toast made from homemade wheat bread.
Rabbit got dressed (as did I) and I took her to Sunday School and while she was there, I spent time in the lower level of the church drinking coffee and reading. After Sunday School was done, she and I went to church service.
After that, we came home and had lunch of grilled cheese and tomato soup, as PC was working in the shop and had already eaten. Rabbit went to her room to work on a mystery project, and I worked on my office.
Mid-afternoon, I loaded three big boxes of to-be-shredded documents into my car and left for the office. I took them into my workplace where I will dump them in the industrial shredders Tuesday. After that, I ran to the grocery store for a few items, picked up a Redbox movie, then went to the library to pick up a book I’d placed on hold (I Am Half Sick of Shadows by Alan Bradley) and two movies (Moneyball and the new Muppet movie).
Returned home, worked on the office some more, watched a couple of movies, made a lame dinner of sausage and potatoes and talked to my younger sister on the phone (she lives in California).
All in all, a decent Sunday.
p.s., I am making MAJOR progress in the paper purge: documents I don’t need at all from as far back as 2003 are GONE and it seriously feels like a thousand pound weight has been lifted off of me.
This week: price a sheet of tempered glass, do some shopping research for a new mattress, make an appointment for Rabbit to see an orthodontist, buy a home fire-proof document box, go to a parent-teacher-school resources meeting for Rabbit, find her a violin teacher and get my roots touched up.
Oh, and celebrate our 25th anniversary Tuesday. No big deal.
25!! it is a big deal! Congrats!
